Analysis
Pi-C focuses on not only the short-term status of the construction industry, such as economic aspects, but also its long-term trends, fundamental resources for future stability, and capacities to sustain growth and development. As a result, the potential users of Pi-C can observe trajectories of the industry’s health without any fixated thresholds or predetermined benchmarks by observing the trajectory of current Pi-C index compared to the index at the reference time (i.e., the Pi-C index in December 2013).
The page "General Analysis” introduces five dimensional framework of health index, i.e., economy, stability, social, development and quality, all of which constitutes the Pi-C. This page provides periodic reports on understanding and estimating the trend in the health of the construction industry. Further, trajectory of each dimension by itself is proposed for the Pi-C users to be used to trace roots of the dynamics.
The page “Specific Analysis” discusses the details on particular indicators that are used in Pi-C data, either as a raw data or processed data. The extensive discussion specific to the Pi-C data, including the discussion of trends, assists the Pi-C users in understanding the dynamic of the corresponding dimensional health index. Example of specific areas discussed includes the trends on diversity of project areas or employment trends.
